What the 2025 announcement said
PerthNow published its announcement on 5 August 2025, reporting that Fremantle BeerFest was planned for 14–16 November at Esplanade Park. It described the craft beer festival as featuring more than 500 brews and named Australian duo The Presets as a headliner. These were details of the 2025 announcement, not the 2026 lineup. The article also said more than 12,000 visitors were expected. That was a forecast, not a confirmed attendance figure. It noted Little Creatures’ 25th anniversary in 2025; that anniversary reference is how the article framed it.
What is listed for Fremantle BeerFest 2026?
The official festival site advertises the next edition for 13–14 November 2026 at Esplanade Park, Fremantle. Its listed headliners are Birds of Tokyo on Friday evening, RubyHoo on Saturday daytime and San Cisco on Saturday evening. The Presets are not among the headliners listed for this edition. What do the 2026 drink counts mean?
The official 2026 page uses two separate promotional counts: “over 500 premium pours” across beer, cider, spirits, seltzers and wine, and “over 300 unique” small-batch and limited-edition brews. The first covers pours across several drink categories; the second refers specifically to brews. What is known about the completed 2025 event?
The available sources establish what PerthNow reported ahead of the 2025 dates, but do not establish actual attendance or confirm whether every announced detail took place as planned. The article quoted Fremantle Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge describing the city as “the home of Australian craft beer” and saying the industry supports local jobs and innovation. It also quoted festival founder and co-director James Harding saying, “Freo BeerFest is the perfect setting to celebrate the game changers.” These statements were reported by PerthNow; they are not independent event-outcome evidence.
