The official trailer for the Hindi comedy Fraud Saiyaan sets up a fictional premise: Arshad Warsi plays a con artist who marries women to get their money, then has to keep several wives and a detective from discovering the scheme. It is a film comedy, not a documentary or a report of real events.
What the trailer shows
The trailer, published on the Tips Official verified YouTube channel on December 27, 2018, introduces Arshad Warsi in the lead role of Bhola Prasad Tripathi. The official trailer description summarises the setup in promotional language: “Arshad Warsi in and as the ‘Fraud Saiyaan’ juggles between his multiple wives and a detective.” It closes with the question the film is built around: “Will the Fraud Saiyaan manage to keep all his wives happy or will he get caught in his own web?”
Scroll’s report of December 28, 2018 describes the same plot in plainer terms: Bhola tricks several women into marriage in pursuit of their riches. The trailer description calls the film a “light hearted comedy,” which is the best guide to its tone. Nothing in the trailer or the reporting presents the conduct as something that happened in real life.

Why it is a comedy, not a documentary
The premise, a man who marries several women for money and must hide each marriage from the others, is a familiar comic setup built on exaggeration. The trailer frames it as entertainment, and the reporting treats it as a plot summary. Readers looking for true-crime or factual material about marriage fraud should look elsewhere, since this film does not document any real case.
