Forbes estimated Barron Trump’s net worth at $150 million in its September 23, 2025 Trump-family wealth overview. The figure was largely tied to World Liberty Financial, the Trump family’s cryptocurrency venture. It is a dated estimate—not an audited personal balance sheet or $150 million in cash—and Forbes has not established an updated figure in the sources cited here.
What Forbes’s $150 million estimate represents
Forbes’s September 23, 2025 family wealth overview put Barron Trump at an estimated $150 million. Its October 6, 2025 explanation described World Liberty Financial as the principal source behind the estimate. Forbes said the venture had added more than $1.5 billion to Trump family fortunes, attributing roughly $150 million to Barron under its assumptions.

The figure combines reported proceeds and estimated interests in a cryptocurrency business. It should not be read as a verified current balance, a public filing, or money Barron could immediately spend. Forbes’s estimate reflected market valuations, assumptions about ownership, taxes, and a substantial discount on tokens that were locked at the time.
How World Liberty Financial figured into the calculation
Forbes reported that Barron and his brothers, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., were listed as World Liberty Financial cofounders. The family company DT Marks Defi LLC received 22.5 billion WLFI tokens in September 2024 and was entitled to 75% of project revenue after its first $15 million in earnings, in exchange for promoting the venture and allowing it to use the Trump name, according to Forbes.

The ownership assumption behind Barron’s share
Forbes said Donald Trump owned 70% of DT Marks Defi LLC at the start of 2025 and that his family owned the remaining 30%. To estimate Barron’s portion, Forbes assumed that the three sons shared that family interest equally—equivalent to 10% each. The article cautioned that later dealmaking may have changed their stakes, so equal ownership is a calculation premise, not an established fact.
Applying the assumed 10% share to the initial grant implied 2.25 billion WLFI tokens for Barron. Forbes’s October estimate also incorporated reported token-sale proceeds and interests connected to a USD1 stablecoin and an Alt5 Sigma transaction. Those components were Forbes’s reported calculations and valuations at the time, not proof that each retained the same value afterward.

Why locked tokens do not equal cash
Forbes’s September overview estimated that Barron had received $80 million from token sales and held 2.3 billion locked tokens. It said the tokens might be worth $525 million at prices then prevailing if they could be unlocked. That was a conditional valuation, not a claim that he could sell them for that amount. Forbes heavily discounted the locked tokens in reaching its net-worth estimate.
A token’s quoted market price does not by itself establish what a holder can realize: access restrictions, the ability to trade, and changing market prices all matter. Forbes’s $150 million estimate therefore depends in part on assumptions about assets that were not freely available for sale when the estimate was published.

What the ranking does—and does not—tell readers
The September 2025 Forbes article was a Trump-family wealth overview, not a ranking of Barron against unrelated public figures on a uniform basis. Forbes described cryptocurrency as a major driver of the family’s recent wealth and estimated fortunes for other relatives as well. Comparisons are most useful when they keep the publication date, source of wealth, and liquidity of assets in view; estimates from different dates should not be treated as directly comparable.
Forbes’s October 6 article described Barron as 19 and an NYU sophomore at the time of publication. Those details refer to 2025, not necessarily to his age or student status today. The source articles do not establish a refreshed October 2026 net-worth estimate, and cryptocurrency valuations and token conditions can change.
