Who is a Crystal Palace fan? These five public figures have credible, attributable evidence of supporting the Eagles—from their own accounts of family tradition and local roots to a Premier League report of regular match attendance. This is a set of verified examples, not a ranking of Palace’s most famous supporters.
Jo Brand: a family connection to Palace
Comedian and presenter Jo Brand describes Palace support as a longstanding family tradition. In the club’s May 2025 “Voices of South London” feature, she says, “I have been a Palace fan for many, many years, as have most of my family.” She also recalls going to Selhurst Park with her late brother.
Chiwetel Ejiofor: a South London supporter since his teens
Actor Chiwetel Ejiofor grew up in South London and began attending Palace matches as a teenager. In a club interview published on 16 May 2025, he recalls, “so I fell in love with it when I was a teenager, and it’s never left me.” The club’s May 2025 feature also quotes him saying, “everybody knows I’m a Palace fan.”
Jim Piddock: an allegiance with a supporters’ trust role
Actor, writer and producer Jim Piddock is described by Crystal Palace as a lifelong Eagles fan. The club’s May 2025 supporter feature says he founded the Crystal Palace Supporters’ Trust in 1999 and quotes him describing six decades of support.

Bill Wyman: supporting Palace since childhood
Musician Bill Wyman, the Rolling Stones bassist, gave the club a specific account of when his support began: “I’ve been a fan of the Palace since 1946, actually, when I was 10 years old.” That first-person statement appears in Crystal Palace’s May 2025 “Voices of South London” feature.
Bill Nighy: a nearby club and regular match attendance
The Premier League’s 16 March 2026 roundup of famous fans by club calls actor Bill Nighy a lifelong Palace supporter, says he regularly attends home matches and notes his role as patron of the Crystal Palace Supporters Children’s Charity. It quotes him explaining his local connection: “I was born in Caterham (Surrey) and went to school in Purley (Croydon), so Palace was my nearest club. My whole family are Palace stalwarts.”

The evidence is not identical: Brand, Ejiofor and Wyman speak in their own words in club features, while the club describes Piddock’s long support and trust role. The Premier League account of Nighy adds regular attendance and a charity connection alongside his explanation of his local roots.
Together, their accounts show several routes into supporting Palace: family tradition, growing up near the club, a personal allegiance that began in childhood or adolescence, and continued involvement around matches and supporter causes. The sources establish five credible examples; they do not establish a definitive or fame-ranked top five.
