Wes’s money puts Bode at risk
Wes has recently returned to Mickey’s life and tries to draw Sharon closer with money. Mickey warns Sharon that Wes’s cash is tied to criminal activity. Bode has also done paid work for Wes, putting his parole standing at risk because of Wes’s criminal connections. Bode agrees to stop working for him and return the money.
A snakebite leads to a chase
The recap describes the attack on Wes as a rattlesnake bite: someone has removed the snake’s rattle, and Wes’s antivenom is missing. Bode gets him to the fire station for treatment. The recap identifies Wes’s associate Ozzy as the attacker, seeking money Wes buried. Mickey and Jake pursue Ozzy as a wildfire spreads nearby; a water drop from the fire crew helps save them.

Who is Wes Fox to Mickey and Sharon?
Wes is Mickey’s estranged father and Sharon Leone’s stepfather. Mickey is Bode’s aunt and Sharon’s stepsister, according to the family relationships described by CBS and Paramount+. That makes Wes the link between Mickey’s personal story and the Leone family already central to Fire Country.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is “Dirty Money” a Sheriff Country crossover?
It is a crossover in the broader franchise sense: the episode introduces and develops Mickey Fox, whose story continues in Sheriff Country. Paramount+ describes that series as an expansion of Fire Country and identifies Mickey as Sharon’s stepsister. The two shows have different narrative centers: Fire Country follows the Cal Fire and Three Rock ensemble, while Sheriff Country centers on Mickey’s sheriff work and personal life. “Dirty Money” is therefore useful context for viewers following Mickey into her own series, rather than simply a standalone guest appearance.
