Tiffany Wallace’s final episode gives her a departure that feels earned: she chooses to leave, remains a capable partner through the last case, and shares a quiet goodbye with Scola that says more than a grand farewell speech could. But “Abandoned” does not pretend that catching Hakim resolved everything Tiffany was carrying.

What happens to Tiffany on FBI?
“Abandoned” aired October 15, 2024, as the Season 7 premiere. CBS’s synopsis centers on the assassination of an apparently ordinary Brooklyn plumber, a case that expands into a globe-spanning investigation and creates friction with the CIA. Tiffany’s exit unfolds alongside that procedural story rather than replacing it.
She has already given notice and is working her last day with the team. When Scola is stabbed in the thigh during the case, Tiffany rushes to him and uses her belt as a tourniquet. After the investigation is resolved, she tells Maggie she is moving to Georgia to live near her sister. Tiffany leaves the team alive and by choice.

Why does Tiffany leave the FBI?
Tiffany’s explanation is emotional, not a sudden change of career. She tells Maggie, “I just wanted closure. I thought I’d get that after Hakim was gone; I didn’t.” Catching Hakim—and getting revenge—did not lift the burden she expected it to. Showrunner Mike Weiss told TV Insider that the intense experience at the end of Season 6 continued to affect Tiffany, adding, “Different cases affect people differently.”
That in-story reason is separate from Katherine Renee Kane’s explanation for leaving the series. In an August statement reported by TVLine, Kane said, “It was time to look towards new creative endeavors,” and said she was excited for the future and wished the show well. The character’s need for closure is Tiffany’s story; Kane’s statement describes the actor’s career decision.

Why the goodbye with Scola works
The tourniquet is more than a rescue beat. Tiffany’s final act as Scola’s partner is practical, fast, and competent—the kind of care their work has required of them. Once the immediate danger passes, the episode gives them a quieter moment instead of turning the departure into a sweeping declaration.
John Boyd, who plays Scola, told TV Insider that the partners are professionally in lockstep but not usually physically demonstrative. He suggested that Scola place his hand on Tiffany’s at the end of their scene. Boyd described filming it as emotional: “And it was what felt right in the moment and it was a really great emotional goodbye.” The small gesture makes the affection specific to these two colleagues: restrained, but unmistakable.

Does “Abandoned” give Tiffany a satisfying exit?
For this review, the answer is yes—because the episode lets Tiffany make the decision herself, shows her doing the job well until the end, and gives her partnership with Scola a personal farewell. The exit does not claim that she has neatly healed. Her own words leave the question of closure unsettled, which makes the choice to step away feel more credible than a tidy cure would.
The balance is not perfect. The assassination investigation and its CIA friction continue as the episode’s main case, so Tiffany’s departure shares the hour with the usual procedural machinery. That keeps the premiere recognizably FBI, though viewers looking for an episode devoted entirely to her may find the goodbye brief. The story’s most effective farewell is not a long speech; it is Tiffany saving Scola, then letting the moment between them land.
