Lisette Olivera joined as BAU-trained agent Syd Ortiz, and Emily Alabi arrived later as Dani Rhodes, who eventually partners with Stuart Scola. The 22-episode season aired from October 15, 2024, through May 20, 2025, according to CBS’s Season 7 episode guide.
Which FBI cast members were expected to return for Season 7?
Before the season began, TV Insider’s August 19, 2024 preview listed six principal cast members as expected to return. That was a pre-season cast expectation, not a guarantee that each would remain on the team for the entire season.

What happened to Tiffany on FBI?
Katherine Renee Kane’s Special Agent Tiffany Wallace left the team in the Season 7 premiere, “Abandoned.” The pre-season expectation that Kane would return should not be read as her remaining a regular member of the team throughout the season; TVLine reported that Tiffany’s departure occurred in the premiere.

Who is new on FBI Season 7?
Lisette Olivera as Syd Ortiz
Lisette Olivera joined as Syd Ortiz, an agent trained by the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit who rotates into field work. TV Insider’s pre-season preview announced her addition. TVLine later reported that Olivera’s arc began in Episode 4 and that she would depart after filming a handful of episodes, so Syd is a Season 7 addition rather than a replacement who stayed for the full season.
Emily Alabi as Dani Rhodes
Emily Alabi joined later in the season as Special Agent Dani Rhodes. TVLine reported on March 24, 2025, that Rhodes would debut in “Covered,” the April 1 episode, and was expected to become Scola’s partner. CBS’s later episode description for “Partner” confirms the change in the story: Scola and Dani begin working on their footing as partners. Their introduction was separate from Syd’s earlier arrival.
Rank #2
The episode guide also traces Scola’s transition: in “Détente,” he is still trying to find a new partner; “Covered” introduces Dani; and “Partner” depicts the pair finding their footing. These descriptions are listed in CBS’s episode guide.
