That snapshot supplies six speed figures for the fastest entries, but it does not establish a reliable seventh-place coaster or a definitive list of seven currently operating rides. The ranking below reports the six published figures that can be substantiated and explains what remains uncertain.
What this ranking covers—and why it stops at six
“Fastest” here means the highest published top speed, not the longest ride, greatest acceleration, tallest coaster or strongest overall thrill. Intamin’s page attributes its figures to RCDB.com data from January 2026. It displays entries in descending speed order, but skips ranking positions and does not provide a dependable seventh-place entry in the available information.
Operating status also changes what a ranking means. RCDB says it does not assign ranking positions to roller coasters that are not currently operating. That makes a dated list of published speed records different from a current-operating ranking. The available figures do not establish operating status for every ride at publication, so this should not be read as a verified list of seven open attractions.
Six published top speeds, in descending order
| Order by listed speed | Roller coaster | Published top speed | Park and location |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Falcons Flight | 250.0 km/h (155.3 mph) | Six Flags Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia |
| 2 | Formula Rossa | 240.0 km/h (149.1 mph) | Ferrari World, UAE |
| 3 | Kingda Ka | 206.0 km/h | Six Flags Great Adventure, USA |
| 4 | Top Thrill Dragster* | 193.1 km/h | Cedar Point, USA |
| 5 | Red Force | 180.0 km/h | Ferrari Land, Spain |
| 6 | Superman: Escape from Krypton | 160.9 km/h | Six Flags Magic Mountain, USA |
Speed figures and park locations are from Intamin Amusement Rides’ page, which cites January 2026 RCDB.com data. RCDB’s search result gives the first two speeds in miles per hour; other mph conversions are omitted rather than imply extra precision.

1. Falcons Flight — 250.0 km/h
The fastest entry in the snapshot is Falcons Flight at Six Flags Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia. Its listed speed is 10.0 km/h higher than Formula Rossa’s.
2. Formula Rossa — 240.0 km/h
At Ferrari World in the UAE, Formula Rossa is the second-fastest entry in the cited data. RCDB’s reported 149.1 mph is consistent with the rounded 240.0 km/h figure.
3. Kingda Ka — 206.0 km/h
Kingda Ka, at Six Flags Great Adventure in the United States, appears third by the speeds shown. Its inclusion in a published-record list does not by itself establish that it qualifies for an operating-only ranking.
4. Cedar Point entry — 193.1 km/h
Intamin labels this Cedar Point entry “Top Thrill Dragster.” The available information does not resolve whether that label and speed refer to the original coaster or its successor, so the name should be treated as the source’s label rather than a verified statement about the current attraction.

- 546 ASSORTED PIECES –This K’NEX Education set includes 546 parts, plus a battery-powered motor, for a single child or a team of two to three children building a working roller coaster. Two additional models are also included in this set — a ramp and a half-pipe — which can be built one at a time. The set requires two AA batteries, which are not included.
- OFFERS HANDS-ON LEARNING – K’NEX Education models offer proactive opportunities for introducing children to scientific inquiry, investigation, and experimentation. Inquiry-based lessons challenge young learners as they build, investigate, problem-solve, discuss, and evaluate scientific and design principles in action.
- EXPERIMENT GUIDE – Once a ride is built, an activity booklet guides learners through three hands-on, inquiry-based experiments. This experiment guide aligns with the national STEM standards and is designed for grades 5‒9. Students will learn about the relationships between time, distance, speed, and more!
- PROMOTES TEAMWORK – This educational engineering set is more fun when constructed with friends. One to three kids can put their heads together and figure out the structure, exchanging ideas as they tinker with the bits and parts, and solving the model faster through teamwork. They’ll build camaraderie and develop social skills as they play.
- STEAMagination: It’s the connection of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) with a child’s natural curiosity and creativity and it powers the fun of each and every K’NEX building set. Building with K’NEX puts children on a path towards a fundamental understanding of STEAM/STEM subjects.
5. Red Force — 180.0 km/h
Red Force at Ferrari Land in Spain is fifth among the six entries with explicit speed figures covered here.
6. Superman: Escape from Krypton — 160.9 km/h
Superman: Escape from Krypton at Six Flags Magic Mountain is sixth among those six. The cited snapshot also shows Millennium Force at 149.7 km/h, Pantherian at 144.8 km/h and Hyperion at 142.0 km/h, but labels them #8, #10 and #11 respectively. Those gaps do not establish which coaster belongs in seventh place.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why there is no confirmed seventh-place entry
The source’s visible list skips rank positions, and the supporting information does not identify a reliable seventh-place all-time coaster. Filling the gap by choosing a lower-speed ride would confuse list order with rank position; treating an entry below a gap as seventh would also be an inference, not a sourced ranking. For the same reason, this evidence cannot support a definitive top-seven list or a seven-ride operating-only list.
Quick Recap
- For published speed: the six values above are the entries with explicit figures identified in the cited snapshot.
- For current operating status: use an operating-only database ranking; RCDB’s stated rule excludes non-operating coasters from ranking positions.
- For the Cedar Point name: the cited page says “Top Thrill Dragster,” but the successor question remains unresolved in the available facts.
