Fans queued outside VC Ink Tattoo Gallery in Melbourne’s CBD on 17 February 2024 for pre-designed Taylor Swift-inspired tattoos priced at $150 each, according to PerthNow. The report tied the promotion to Swift’s Australian concert week, but does not establish that the queue formed specifically ahead of her second MCG show.
Where were fans getting Taylor Swift tattoos in Melbourne?
The studio was VC Ink Tattoo Gallery in Melbourne’s central business district. PerthNow reported that fans queued outside the parlour throughout the day while it offered Swift-inspired designs. The story did not give a queue count, the number of tattoos completed, or a sales total.
What designs and prices did the promotion include?
PerthNow reported that the parlour offered pre-designed tattoos featuring song lyrics and album-cover artwork for $150 per tattoo. That was the price stated for the promotion in the 17 February 2024 report, not a current quote or confirmation that the offer remains available.
Could fans book or walk in?
PerthNow reproduced a promotional social post saying appointments and walk-ins were open. The report also mentioned a free tattoo giveaway connected to social-media engagement. These describe the historical promotion; they do not establish present availability or that every person who walked in was served.

Why the “second MCG show” detail needs care
The report connects the tattoo promotion to Swift’s Australian concert week, but its article body does not document the sequence of her Melbourne shows or identify this queue as taking place specifically before the second MCG performance. PerthNow’s report is therefore evidence of a concert-week promotion and queue, not of that more precise timing.
A permanent choice for a concert-week souvenir
The tattoos were permanent body art, not temporary fan merchandise. PerthNow also quoted Swift as saying in a 2012 Taste of Country interview that she did not think she could commit to a tattoo or to something permanent. The report reproduces the quotation but does not link to the original interview, so it should be understood as a quote attributed to Swift by PerthNow rather than one independently checked against the interview.
