Nintendo Switch 2: physical code-in-box, no Creations menu
Bethesda describes the Switch 2 physical release as a code-in-box version, not a package containing a game cartridge. The game includes the base game, six add-ons, and 150-plus curated Creation Club items built into this version. Bethesda says the Switch 2 version does not have the in-game Creations menu.
Which version makes sense if you already own Fallout 4?
The best route depends on which edition you own and whether you want the bundled Creation Club content. Bethesda’s purchase guidance distinguishes standard-edition owners from Game of the Year Edition owners.

Bethesda says the Creations menu update is available across all Fallout 4 versions, so access to that menu alone is not exclusive to the Anniversary Edition. Prices are not listed here: they can vary by storefront and region, so check the relevant platform store before buying.

The dates are close, but the official announcements do not establish that the TV series caused or directly coordinated the game edition. Bethesda announced the Anniversary Edition on October 23, 2025, and said it would launch digitally on November 10 as part of Fallout 4’s tenth-anniversary celebration. Prime Video’s official Season Two trailer, published November 13, gave the show’s arrival date as December 17, 2025.
