The film’s story combines opera training, rivalry and romance. Screen Australia places the students in the tiny Scottish village of Drumbuchan; the Scottish Highlands are the film’s setting, but the available sources do not establish where particular scenes were filmed. Screen Australia’s film entry describes Meghan’s belief that “only with a broken heart can you really learn how to sing.” That is a character’s outlook in the synopsis, not a real-world claim about vocal training.

When did Falling for Figaro come out?
Screen Australia records the Australia/UK co-production as completed in 2020. That is the production completion year, not the date of its US theatrical engagement: IFC Center lists a US engagement from October 1 to 7, 2021, and the official film website labels its page “October 01 2021.”
How long is the film?
Listings differ, so there is no single runtime stated consistently across these sources. Screen Australia lists 90 minutes; IFC Center and Apple TV list 105 minutes; Prime Video’s returned listing gives 1 hour 44 minutes. For a general guide, about 105 minutes is supported by the IFC Center and Apple TV listings, but check the specific edition or platform if the exact duration matters.
