Fall for Me is a German-language Netflix drama set on Mallorca, where a family-property dispute draws two sisters into romance and deception. Directed by Sherry Hormann and written by Stefanie Sycholt, it is an original screenplay—not a documentary, a book adaptation, or a true story.
What is Fall for Me about?
Lilli travels to Mallorca to visit her younger sister, Valeria, after a breakup. Valeria is engaged to Manu and hopes to turn the family property into a luxury bed-and-breakfast, but Lilli is reluctant to sell a place that matters deeply to her. When Lilli meets Tom, their attraction becomes entangled with a scheme to persuade her to sign over the property. The story brings together family tension, romance, and deception.
Is Fall for Me based on a true story or a book?
No. Netflix describes the film as an original screenplay by Stefanie Sycholt, not an adaptation of a book or a true story. Netflix Tudum says it is loosely inspired by a wave of crimes resembling those associated with the “Tinder Swindler.” Netflix Tudum’s film explainer provides that context.
Who is in the cast?
The announced cast includes Svenja Jung, Theo Trebs, Tijan Marei, Thomas Kretschmann, Antje Traue, Victor Meutelet, and LucĂa Barrado. The film was directed by Sherry Hormann, written by Stefanie Sycholt, and produced by Wiedemann & Berg Film. Netflix’s release announcement lists the production credits and cast.
