What did Fiennes Tiffin say attracted him to Hardin?
In a 2019 interview with HERO Magazine, Fiennes Tiffin said the first thing that interested him about the original After project was “the complexity of the character.” He elaborated: “Obviously all characters have layers, but the role I play has deeper, darker layers that he really suppresses, which is gold for an actor.”
His remarks describe what appealed to him as acting material: a character with complicated, concealed impulses. They are not a claim that Hardin’s behavior or personality reflects Fiennes Tiffin’s own.

Is After Ever Happy based on a book?
Yes. The film adapts Anna Todd’s novel of the same title and belongs to a franchise that grew from Todd’s story and novel series. Production notes for the 2019 After film describe the story’s origins on Wattpad and its subsequent path to publication; the film reference identifies After Ever Happy as an adaptation of its namesake novel.

Fiennes Tiffin is also known for playing young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in addition to Hardin Scott in the After films. Those are screen credits, not chapters in Hardin’s fictional biography. The available biographical reference excerpt lists his birthday as November 6 but does not establish the year, so it does not support stating an exact age or full birth date.
