What is the new rocky road-inspired Girl Scout cookie?
It is called Exploremores™. Girl Scouts of the USA announced the cookie on September 9, 2025, for the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie season. GSUSA describes it as a chocolate sandwich cookie filled with crème featuring chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond flavor, with rocky road ice cream as its inspiration. That is the official flavor description—not a guarantee that every taster will experience those notes equally.
When GSUSA kicked off the national 2026 cookie season on January 6, 2026, Wendy Lou, who oversees the Girl Scout Cookie program, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce the new, delicious Exploremores™ cookie to the iconic cookie lineup people know and love.”
What does Exploremores taste like?
The published description promises chocolate in both the sandwich cookie and its filling, plus marshmallow and toasted almond-flavored crème. The cookie’s sandwich format and those advertised flavors are established; a personal tasting verdict on sweetness, texture, or how convincingly it evokes rocky road is not. Without an actual tasting, it would be misleading to call it chewy, crunchy, especially sweet, or a close match for the ice cream.

Where can you find Exploremores?
The 2026 season has passed, so don’t assume Exploremores is currently for sale. Girl Scout cookie sales are local: most councils run them from January through April, but dates vary by council. Check the official Cookie Finder and current buying options for local booths or Digital Cookie links. Current local listings are the best way to confirm whether it is available where you live.

Digital Cookie listings identify peanut, wheat, soy, and milk for Exploremores. A Little Brownie Bakers listing also warns that its cookies are made in a shared facility with tree nuts and egg. Package and baker details can differ, so do not treat one listing’s package count or facility statement as universal.

Counts also vary by baker: official seller cards list approximately 21 cookies in one 9-ounce package and approximately 18 in another. Check the package you are buying rather than relying on a count from another listing.
The GSUSA/Little Brownie Bakers 2025–2026 ingredient and allergen guide warns: “Product formulations can change at any time.
