SKKN BY KIM is closed. Its official website said the brand would wind down and close on June 29, 2025, so old product pages and launch prices should not be taken as proof that the brand is still selling directly. The label began as a skincare line in 2022 and later added makeup; Coty transferred its stake to SKIMS in 2025, but that did not establish that SKKN products were relaunched as SKIMS Beauty.
What happened to SKKN by Kim?
Kim Kardashian launched SKKN BY KIM in partnership with beauty company Coty. Coty announced the skincare line on June 1, 2022, and described a planned direct-to-consumer launch. On March 21, 2025, Coty announced that its partnership with Kardashian had concluded after SKIMS acquired Coty’s 20% stake in SKKN. Coty said SKIMS would unite beauty and lifestyle ventures under one brand. (Coty’s 2022 launch announcement; Coty’s 2025 announcement)

The brand’s own website subsequently stated that SKKN BY KIM would officially close on June 29, 2025. That closure notice is the clearest source for the brand’s status; it does not say whether any retailer or reseller has remaining inventory. (Official SKKN BY KIM closure notice)
What products did SKKN by Kim sell?
The original nine-product skincare line
Coty’s 2022 announcement listed nine core skincare products. The descriptions and benefits below reflect company or brand language at launch, not independent clinical findings.

Coty described the packaging as refillable. At launch in 2022, listed prices ranged from $43 for the Cleanser to $95 for Oil Drops and Night Oil; refill prices were also listed in the release. These are historical launch prices, not current retail prices or evidence of what a remaining product should cost. (Coty’s launch announcement and product list)
Makeup added later
SKKN introduced makeup in January 2024. Coty’s earnings script referenced a January 26 launch, and historical product references include Soft Matte Lip Color, Lip Liner, and the Classic Mattes Eyeshadow Palette. The announcement of makeup is historical and does not establish current availability. (Coty 2Q24 earnings script)
Did SKKN by Kim become SKIMS Beauty?
Coty’s March 2025 announcement said SKIMS acquired its 20% stake in SKKN and would unite beauty and lifestyle ventures under one brand. That confirms a change in ownership and the stated direction for the businesses; it does not, by itself, confirm that SKKN’s products continued under a new name.
Marie Claire reported on November 3, 2025, that SKIMS had appointed Diarrha N’Diaye as EVP of Beauty & Fragrance and that no official SKIMS Beauty launch date had been announced at the time of publication. This is dated reporting, not confirmation of present-day products or availability. (Marie Claire’s November 2025 report)

The closure notice establishes that SKKN BY KIM closed; it does not establish current stock at third-party retailers or resale marketplaces. A product page, search result, or old launch announcement is not enough to verify that an item is available, authentic, or appropriately stored.
If considering a listing, check these details before buying:
- Seller and provenance: Identify who is selling the product and whether its supply chain can be explained.
- Condition and date information: Look for sealed packaging, expiration or period-after-opening information where available, and storage details. Skincare that has been stored poorly or for a long time may not be a sensible purchase.
- Product identity: Compare the product name and package details with historical references, and confirm the formula and ingredients from the specific package rather than assuming an old listing is accurate.
- Total price: Compare the full cost with the condition and provenance of the particular item. The 2022 launch price is not a current price benchmark.
For a product whose condition or authenticity cannot be established, an old brand listing or an unusually low price is not a reliable substitute for seller documentation.
What to know about the brand’s skincare claims
Coty’s launch materials described benefits such as hydration, firmness, radiance, and improved appearance. Those are company claims about the products, not independent proof of clinical performance. The launch announcement also quotes Kardashian describing her psoriasis diagnosis as the catalyst for her skincare journey; that personal account is not evidence that the products treat psoriasis or another medical condition.
