WWE’s archive lists 14 pay-per-view events from 2000, including two UK-only shows often left out of year-end lists. This ranking covers all 14, weighing whole-card rewatch value: standout matches and moments, card consistency, story stakes, and historical significance. The order is an editorial judgment, not an official ranking or a settled fan consensus.
Scope: all 14 events in WWE’s 2000 archive
The events were produced under the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) name; WWE is the current steward of the archive. The archive includes the 12-event U.S. schedule and two UK-only shows, Insurrextion and Rebellion. This list includes both, so “every” means every 2000 event cataloged by WWE, not only the core U.S. schedule. The archive’s historical catalog does not establish that every event is currently streamable in every region. WWE’s event archive is the reference for the list and dates.
The 2000 WWE PPVs, ranked
1. Fully Loaded — July 23
Fully Loaded is the strongest choice for the top spot in the available year-end commentary: Cultaholic’s 2020 ranking reportedly named it the year’s best show. That is one outlet’s judgment, not a consensus, but it makes Fully Loaded a defensible lead in a ranking where complete, comparable card reviews are not available for every event. Cultaholic’s ranking is the cited basis for that distinction.
2. Backlash — April 30
Backlash is another leading candidate. Participants in a 2025 fan discussion named it alongside Fully Loaded as a contender for the year’s best. The discussion is anecdotal rather than representative, but WWE’s official event page independently confirms the show and its results. Backlash 2000 results.

3. Royal Rumble — January 23
The Royal Rumble’s namesake match gives it an obvious rewatch draw, and WWE’s archive confirms it as part of the 2000 schedule. The available event-specific evidence does not establish a full-card comparison, so this placement reflects the match’s central appeal rather than a claim that every bout outclassed those below it. WWE’s archive.
4. SummerSlam — August 27
SummerSlam has a clear historical hook: WWE identifies its ladder spectacle as the first TLC match. The card also included a triple threat for the title involving The Rock, Triple H, and Kurt Angle. Those are strong reasons to revisit the show, even without claiming that every match is equally memorable. SummerSlam 2000.
5. Judgment Day — May 21
Judgment Day’s defining match was a 60-minute Iron Man match in which Triple H defeated The Rock 6–5. The event page also lists Chris Benoit against Chris Jericho, adding another notable contest to the card. Judgment Day 2000 results.

6. No Way Out — February 27

7. No Mercy — October 22
No Mercy is included in WWE’s 2000 catalog, but no event-specific match evidence is established here to justify a more precise comparison with the surrounding shows. Its mid-table slot should be read as a ranking judgment, not a sourced consensus. WWE’s archive.
8. Unforgiven — September 24
WWE’s archive confirms Unforgiven as one of the year’s events. Without comparable evidence about its full card, this placement is a cautious middle ranking rather than a definitive assessment of its strongest and weakest matches. WWE’s archive.

9. Armageddon — December 10
Armageddon closes the year’s schedule on December 10, according to WWE’s archive. The date alone says nothing about match quality, and the available event-specific evidence does not support a detailed card review; its placement is consequently provisional. WWE’s archive.
10. Survivor Series — November 19
Survivor Series is confirmed in the 2000 catalog. The event name is not enough to assume what the particular card emphasized, so this ranking does not treat the traditional elimination format as a substitute for checking the show itself. Its lower-middle position is an editorial estimate. WWE’s archive.
11. Rebellion — December 2 (UK-only)
Rebellion belongs in a genuinely complete list despite being a UK-only event. WWE’s archive establishes its place on the calendar, but the available evidence does not permit a match-by-match comparison with the better-documented shows. It is placed here for completeness, not penalized simply for its geography. WWE’s archive.

12. Insurrextion — May 6 (UK-only)
Insurrextion is the other UK-only event in WWE’s 2000 archive. Its inclusion matters to the scope of this ranking; its position reflects the lack of comparable card-level evaluation here, not a claim that UK audiences or events matter less. WWE’s archive.
13. WrestleMania 2000 — April 2 (also called WrestleMania 16)
WrestleMania 2000 is the biggest-name event on this list, but a major brand and high demand do not automatically make a show the strongest on rewatch. WrestleTalk reports 824,000 buys for the event; the publication year for that figure is not stated in the retrieved source, and buys measure purchases, not match quality or audience ratings. The number is business context, not a reason to rank the card higher. WrestleTalk’s reported buy figures.
14. King of the Ring — June 25
King of the Ring is a defensible bottom pick. 411Mania reviewer Kevin Pantoja rated the 2000 show 2.5/10 in 2018 and characterized it as a rough event; some participants in a 2025 fan discussion also named it as a candidate for the year’s worst. Those are individual judgments, not an aggregate verdict. 411Mania; 2025 fan discussion.

Why the order is not a consensus
Available fan and critic reactions disagree: Fully Loaded and Backlash both have advocates for best show, while King of the Ring has detractors. The evidence supports using these as reference points, not claiming a statistically established ranking. Likewise, WrestleMania 2000’s reported 824,000 buys and Backlash’s 675,000 buys are secondary-source historical estimates attributed to WrestleTalk, whose publication year is not stated in the retrieved source. They are purchases, not quality scores. WrestleTalk also lists 420,000 buys each for Judgment Day and Fully Loaded, with the same source and publication-year limitation. WrestleTalk’s reported figures; 2025 fan discussion.
