Which Wonka candy would you most want to try? This subjective ranking spans the 1971, 2005 and 2023 feature films, weighing visual appeal, the inventiveness of each idea, its apparent flavor and how memorable its scene is. It includes named inventions, bars, drinks, edible scenery and visible gags—not just products with official names. It is a personal preference list, not a taste test or a definitive inventory.
How to read this ranking
The cross-film list below follows an entertainment writer’s ranking of 69 entries. That count reflects the writer’s broad inclusion rules, not a canonical total for the films. Some entries are named candies, others are treats visible in the background, and a few are mentioned without appearing on screen. The order is one writer’s judgment, not audience polling or product testing.
Versions matter: a candy with the same name can be imagined or presented differently across adaptations. The 1971 and 2005 Everlasting Gobstoppers, for example, are separate entries in the ranking.
The top-ranked Wonka candies
These are the ranking’s top 12 choices. “Named” indicates a named invention or product; visible treats and scene-based entries are identified as such. Descriptions of fictional effects are premises within the films, not claims about real confectionery.

Everlasting Gobstoppers and Fizzy Lifting Drinks are fictional movie inventions. Ferrero’s official Wonka site describes a real-world collection that spans fruity gummies, assorted chocolates and other treats, but it does not establish that the collection includes those film inventions. As of October 8, 2026, the site says the collection will be available at a retailer near the reader starting in November 2026; availability may change. See Ferrero’s Wonka site.
