The best way to watch every Power Rangers TV show is in American release order. Start with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Seasons 1–3, insert the Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers bridge miniseries, and then continue through Zeo, Turbo, In Space, and the later annual teams. After Dino Fury Seasons 1–2, watch the 30th-anniversary special Once & Always, followed by Cosmic Fury.
That produces 30 numbered American television seasons, plus one bridge miniseries and one anniversary special. The franchise’s first three numbered seasons share the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers title, while continuation seasons such as Super Samurai and Dino Super Charge receive their own season numbers. Cosmic Fury, released in 2023, is the latest released full season in the research period covered here.

This guide follows the conventional franchise numbering and release order for the American Power Rangers television production. Release order is more practical than trying to reconstruct an exact fictional calendar because later seasons use alternate timelines, crossover stories, and multiverse concepts. It also preserves the order in which viewers originally encountered the teams, powers, returning characters, and anniversary connections.
Power Rangers chronological watch order at a glance
The list contains 32 viewing entries: 30 numbered seasons, the Alien Rangers bridge miniseries, and Once & Always. The two unnumbered entries are included because they fit naturally into a complete continuity-oriented marathon.

Why release order is the right chronological order
Power Rangers does not have one uncomplicated fictional timeline. Some seasons are nearly self-contained, while others use crossovers, legacy characters, alternate realities, or multiverse ideas. A fictional-date order would force viewers to make debatable choices about where individual episodes belong.
Release order solves that problem. It preserves the development of the franchise’s power systems, production eras, recurring mythology, and crossover reveals. It also prevents a first-time viewer from encountering a legacy reference before the season that originally established it. For a complete first watch, use the list above rather than rearranging seasons by their fictional setting.
The word season also needs care here. The franchise has reached 30 numbered seasons, but it has fewer than 30 completely different series titles because several shows continue under a new subtitle. Conversely, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers occupies the first three season numbers despite retaining the same title.
The major Power Rangers continuity blocks
The Zordon-era arc: Mighty Morphin through In Space
For the most continuous story in the franchise, watch Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Seasons 1–3, Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers, Zeo, Turbo, and In Space. The Alien Rangers miniseries is the essential transition between the third Mighty Morphin season and Zeo; skipping it makes the changeover feel abrupt.

The television run itself remains Season 5. In Space then serves as the natural endpoint of the original Zordon-era storyline.

The post-Zordon and Disney-era run: Lost Galaxy through R.P.M.
After In Space, the franchise moves through new teams, locations, and concepts each year. Lost Galaxy follows with a new central setting while maintaining continuity links. Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, and Wild Force continue the release-order progression before Ninja Storm begins the Disney-managed production period.
The Disney-era block runs from Ninja Storm through R.P.M.. It includes dinosaur powers in Dino Thunder, a future police organization in S.P.D., magic in Mystic Force, treasure hunting in Operation Overdrive, animal-spirit martial arts in Jungle Fury, and a post-apocalyptic world in R.P.M.. These seasons are often easier to sample individually than the Zordon arc, but release order still gives the clearest historical progression.
The Saban Brands revival: Samurai through Super Ninja Steel
The franchise returns with Samurai in 2011 after a production gap. Do not merge Samurai and Super Samurai into one season for numbering purposes: they are a direct continuation, but each is counted separately. The same rule applies to Megaforce and Super Megaforce, Dino Charge and Dino Super Charge, and Ninja Steel and Super Ninja Steel.
This block is therefore six numbered seasons: Samurai, Super Samurai, Megaforce, Super Megaforce, Dino Charge, Dino Super Charge, Ninja Steel, and Super Ninja Steel. More precisely, it is eight seasons across four paired continuations, covering Seasons 18 through 25.
The Hasbro-era block: Beast Morphers through Cosmic Fury
Beast Morphers begins the period associated with Hasbro ownership of the franchise. Its two television seasons are followed by the two Dino Fury seasons. Dino Fury uses dinosaur-based powers and adapts footage from the Japanese series Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger.

For continuity, the cleanest finish is Dino Fury Season 1, Dino Fury Season 2, Once & Always, and then Cosmic Fury. The special is not required to understand every plot detail in the season list, but it is the intended anniversary stop before the latest numbered season.
The best watch order for different viewers
For a complete franchise marathon
- Watch all 30 numbered seasons in release order.
- Place Alien Rangers between Mighty Morphin Season 3 and Zeo.
- Place Once & Always after both Dino Fury seasons and immediately before Cosmic Fury.
- Treat the two theatrical films and short-form digital material as optional extras rather than additional seasons.
For the original long-form story
Watch Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Seasons 1–3, Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers, Zeo, Turbo, and In Space. This is the strongest compact route if your priority is the Zordon-era storyline and its major power transitions.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor the broad post-Zordon and Disney-era experience
Watch Lost Galaxy through R.P.M. in release order. This gives you the run from Season 7 through Season 17, including the franchise’s shift toward new annual teams and more self-contained settings.
For the revival period
Watch Samurai through Super Ninja Steel. This block covers the Saban Brands and early revival period, including the legacy-centered Super Megaforce season.
For the most recent continuity
Watch Beast Morphers Seasons 1–2, Dino Fury Seasons 1–2, Once & Always, and Cosmic Fury. This is the shortest route to the latest released season while preserving its immediate setup.

What is not a numbered Power Rangers TV season?
- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie (1995): a theatrical film, not a television season.
- Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie (1997): a separate film that can be used as optional connective material, but it does not replace or add to the television season count.
- Power Rangers (2017): a theatrical film and not part of the numbered television chronology.
- Mighty Morphin Minute: short-form digital material rather than a new full-length season.
- Once & Always: a streaming reunion special. It belongs in a continuity-oriented watch-through, but it is not Season 31.
These exclusions explain why a complete practical watch list has more entries than the 30-season tally. They also prevent two common mistakes: calling Alien Rangers Season 4, and counting Once & Always as a new numbered season.

Platform availability depends on country, licensing, and the date of the search. The U.S. distribution information used for this guide places Dino Fury Season 2 through the Netflix partnership, and Once & Always was released on Netflix on April 19, 2023. Cosmic Fury premiered on Netflix in September 2023.
That does not establish that every Power Rangers season is available on Netflix, or that the same catalog exists worldwide. Check the current catalog in your region before starting a marathon; older seasons and films may be licensed separately or may not be available on the same service.
Optional physical companion to a long watch-through
Once you have chosen a favorite era, browsing Power Rangers action figures by team can be a useful physical companion to the marathon. It is usually more reliable to search by the exact team, season, or character than to assume that a current product listing represents the original merchandise release. Availability, packaging, age guidance, and prices vary considerably across older and newer figures.
What comes after Cosmic Fury?
As of the research date of August 12, 2026, Cosmic Fury remains the latest released numbered season, and there is no released Season 31 to add to this chronology. Hasbro and Disney/20th Television have been reported to be developing a new live-action Power Rangers series for Disney+, but the reviewed materials did not establish a confirmed final title or public premiere date. It should therefore be treated as a project in development, not as a watchable entry after Cosmic Fury.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers Season 4 of Power Rangers?
No. Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers is a short bridge miniseries, commonly labeled Season 3A. Power Rangers Zeo is conventionally Season 4.
Best Value
- Factory sealed DVD
Is Once & Always Power Rangers Season 31?
No. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always is a 30th-anniversary streaming special, not a numbered season. Watch it after Dino Fury Seasons 1–2 and before Cosmic Fury if you want a continuity-oriented order.
Do I need to watch the Power Rangers movies to understand the TV chronology?
No. The 1995 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, 1997 Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, and 2017 Power Rangers film are theatrical movies, not numbered television seasons. Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie is the most relevant as optional connective material, but it is not required for the season count.
What is the best Power Rangers watch order for a first-time viewer?
Use release order. Watch Mighty Morphin Seasons 1–3, insert Alien Rangers, and continue through the numbered seasons. For a shorter route, choose one continuity block: the Zordon-era arc, Lost Galaxy through R.P.M., Samurai through Super Ninja Steel, or Beast Morphers through Cosmic Fury.
What is the latest released Power Rangers TV season?
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, released in 2023, is Season 30 and the latest released full season as of August 12, 2026. A future Disney+ live-action series has been reported as in development, but it is not yet a released Season 31.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Watch the 30 numbered seasons in release order, insert Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers after Mighty Morphin Season 3, and place Once & Always immediately before Cosmic Fury. That is the clearest complete route through the franchise without confusing miniseries, specials, and movies with numbered seasons.
