The clearest published breakdown of the first Jurassic World Rebirth trailer identifies four dinosaurs: Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus and Spinosaurus. It also shows a large creature that remains unnamed. Another trailer list adds a Mosasaurus and tentatively identifies Quetzalcoatlus and Titanosaurus, so those should be treated as less certain rather than as an official species roster.
Dinosaurs clearly identified in the first trailer
SYFY Wire’s February 5, 2025 breakdown names four dinosaurs in the first official trailer. The identifications below reflect that published scene breakdown, not an official studio inventory of every animal in every shot.
Tyrannosaurus rex (T. rex)
The trailer breakdown identifies a T. rex, and ComingSoon says it appears more than once. SYFY Wire’s trailer breakdown; ComingSoon’s dinosaur list.
Velociraptor
SYFY Wire names a Velociraptor; ComingSoon points to a clawed foot in one scene as evidence for the identification. The trailer coverage does not establish a complete count of the animal’s appearances.

Dilophosaurus
SYFY Wire also identifies a Dilophosaurus. If you recognize the franchise’s distinctive frill, note that it is a film design detail—not an established real-world feature of Dilophosaurus.
Spinosaurus
Spinosaurus is named in SYFY Wire’s breakdown, including its identification of the animal in the boat sequence.
Other prehistoric animals suggested by trailer coverage
ComingSoon’s broader list names or suggests several additional animals. Its wording is less definitive for some identifications, so these are best presented as editorial readings of the footage rather than confirmed studio designations.
Mosasaurus
ComingSoon includes a Mosasaurus and describes it in coverage of the boat sequence. Mosasaurus was a marine reptile, not a dinosaur in the strict scientific sense.

ComingSoon says the trailer hints at Quetzalcoatlus among the DNA targets and shows a confrontation with flying creatures. Quetzalcoatlus was a pterosaur, not a dinosaur.
Titanosaurus
ComingSoon reports seeing a pair of Titanosaurus, but presents the identification conditionally. Treat it as tentative rather than as a confirmed species call.

The large creature the trailer does not name
SYFY Wire notes a mysterious hulking creature appearing twice, but does not identify it by a canonical name. Without a firmer identification, it is more accurate to call it an unidentified large creature than to assign it a species.
Why the trailer’s list is not a definitive inventory
The sources do not provide a frame-by-frame official roster. SYFY Wire directly names four dinosaurs and leaves one large creature unidentified; ComingSoon offers a broader list, with conditional language around some entries. The distinction matters: a species named in a published breakdown is not the same as a studio-confirmed identification, and a brief or obscured shot can leave room for interpretation.

How the animals fit the film’s story
Universal describes Jurassic World Rebirth as taking place five years after Jurassic World Dominion. Dinosaurs persist in isolated equatorial environments, where an extraction team seeks genetic material from three colossal creatures across land, sea and air for a potentially life-saving drug. The cited official synopsis does not name all three target species, so it does not establish a complete target list that can be matched to the trailer identifications. The first official trailer was released February 5, 2025. Universal listed the U.S. theatrical release for July 2, 2025. The film was directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, based on characters created by Michael Crichton. SYFY Wire’s trailer coverage; Universal Pictures’ film page.
