Some interfere with cursed techniques; others extend, store or release energy, damage the soul, or simply hit hard. This guide covers the named tools in a fan-maintained reference roster, including sequel-era material from Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo. Spoilers follow for the original series and sequel entries.
What counts as a cursed tool?
The roster describes cursed tools as weapons imbued with a curse and as a way for sorcerers without an innate technique to take part in combat. It is a useful overview rather than an official definition: the reference is fan-maintained, and its inventory includes a general “Cursed Tools” category entry alongside named items. The explanations below paraphrase that source’s descriptions; they are not a claim that its list is a definitive canon catalogue.
The most useful distinction is what problem a tool solves. A weapon may interfere with an opponent’s technique, create a particular effect, or provide force without a complicated special ability. Not every item has a fully explained mechanism.
Every named cursed tool in the roster
Black Rope (Kokujō)
The rope, made by Miguel’s clan, disrupts cursed techniques when it makes contact. That makes it valuable for confronting technique users, but the reference does not establish a market price or a precise duration for the disruption.

Chain of a Thousand Miles (Banri no Kusari)
This special-grade chain can extend indefinitely as long as one end remains hidden. Toji uses it to restrain targets or gain reach. Concealing an endpoint is part of the tool’s stated trick, not an incidental detail.
Dragon-Bone (Ryūkotsu)
Made by Juzo Kumiya and associated with Maki, Dragon-Bone stores cursed energy and releases it on contact. Its appeal is stored-and-released force, rather than a continuously described named technique.

Festering Life Sword (Ranshōtō)
Associated with Kurourushi, this blade produces insect curses. The source does not give a reliable basis for adding a specific count or more detailed account of how they behave.
Hiten
Hiten is a Heian-era tool carried by Sukuna. Despite the name’s association with flight, the roster says its use has not been shown and its location is unrecorded. Its actual combat function is therefore unknown; the name alone does not establish that it grants flight.

Honoyagi (Modulo)
This sequel-era tool is associated with Tsurugi Okkotsu. The reference describes sparks along its edge as it moves. It belongs to Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo, not the roster of weapons an anime-only viewer would encounter in the original series.
Inverted Spear of Heaven (Ama no Sakahoko)
A special-grade weapon associated with Toji, the Inverted Spear of Heaven nullifies cursed techniques on contact, according to the roster. This differs from the Black Rope’s described effect: the spear nullifies, while the rope disrupts. Both affect techniques, but they should not be treated as mechanically interchangeable.

Kamutoke
This Heian-era tool is associated with Sukuna and Hiten. The reference describes it as discharging lightning, but does not establish finer mechanics here.
Playful Cloud (Yū-un)
This special-grade three-section staff is associated with Geto, Maki, Megumi, Todo and Toji. Its defining feature is direct physical power: the guide calls it “pure solid power.” It is a clear example of a cursed tool whose distinguishing value is force, not a complicated special effect.

Slaughter Demon (Tozama)
The roster associates this katana with Maki and recounts it being loaned through Gojo to Yuji as an early weapon. It looks like a conventional blade in the account; the source does not describe a signature supernatural effect for it.
Split Soul Katana (Shakukontō)
This broad-bladed katana is described as cutting the soul and bypassing physical resistance. The named figures connected with it are Toji, Maki, Hagane Daido and Tsurugi Okkotsu. The stated effect changes which defenses matter, but the reference does not specify further conditions for how it works.
Sword of Extermination (Taima no Tsurugi)
Mahoraga’s blade emits positive energy. That positive-energy property is the distinction the roster gives; it should not be stretched into a claim that the sword is a universal answer to every cursed technique.

What to remember about cursed tools
- They are a varied category, not a uniform class of weapons with the same kind of ability.
- Black Rope and the Inverted Spear of Heaven both affect cursed techniques, but the roster distinguishes disruption from nullification.
- Playful Cloud shows that a tool can be notable for physical force rather than a unique supernatural effect.
- Hiten’s demonstrated function remains unknown in the cited account, and Honoyagi is a sequel-era entry.
