Eve Markoski-Wood said her biological father once told her she “didn’t deserve the life she has.” She described the remark in an interview with Dose of Society on TikTok, as reported by PerthNow on 14 July 2025. Eve also spoke about her mother, Snezana Wood, raising her as a single parent and the sacrifices she made.
What Eve said her biological father told her
Asked about the most painful comment she had received, Eve recalled her biological father telling her she “didn’t deserve the life she has.” PerthNow also quoted her recounting the remark in first person: “I don’t deserve the life I’m living.” These are Eve’s reported words, not an independently verified account of the exchange.
Where she shared the story
PerthNow reported that Eve discussed the comment in an interview with Dose of Society on TikTok. The outlet said she became emotional while answering and later explained that the question had caught her off guard: “The question really caught me off guard. It had been such a long time since l’d been that honest with myself, and I didn’t expect to get that emotional.” PerthNow also recounted her comments about being vulnerable online and receiving kind responses. The available account is PerthNow’s report; the original interview video was not independently reviewed here. Read PerthNow’s report.
What Eve said about her father and her mother
Eve said she had not seen her biological father in eight years. She believed he wanted her mother to suffer out of jealousy; that is Eve’s interpretation of his motive, not a motive established independently by the report. PerthNow also mentioned an account that he had “got involved with the wrong people,” but provided no substantiated detail that would support a more specific claim.

She spoke warmly about Snezana, saying: “I grew up with just my mum, single mum, and she raised me to (be) the woman I am today.” Eve said she was proud of her mother’s sacrifices, work and university studies. At the time of PerthNow’s July 2025 report, Eve was described as 19 and as having recently moved from Melbourne to New York. The report said Snezana worked a 9-to-5 job while studying molecular genetics and biochemistry; these are details from that report, not claims about their current circumstances.

Eve was also part of Snezana Markoski’s story on The Bachelor Australia. The Guardian reported in September 2015 that Eve was nine during the season in which Snezana met Sam Wood. That earlier account provides context for their public family story, but does not verify the later private exchange Eve described. Read The Guardian’s 2015 report.
