Australian television presenter Erin Jayne Plummer died suddenly in May 2022, aged 42. Known to daytime viewers for advertorial hosting and for presenting Aerobics Oz Style, she was also a competitive surf-sports athlete. Friends and colleagues remembered her above all as a devoted mother of three daughters and a generous friend.
Who was Erin Jayne Plummer?
Plummer was an Australian television presenter whose work included product segments associated with Studio 10 and TVSN. PerthNow described her as an advertorial host who introduced viewers to consumer products such as gadgets, clothing and home appliances. Sarah Harris, her Studio 10 colleague, described her as a familiar face on Australian television for two decades.
Her best-known presenting role included Aerobics Oz Style. 7NEWS reported that she presented the program for six years. The same outlet said the show had reached a global audience of 40 million “at one point”; that is a historical figure reported by 7NEWS, not a current audience count.
Her life in sport
Plummer’s sporting background predated and complemented her television career. Harris told 7NEWS that Plummer had represented Australia in synchronised swimming and surf lifesaving. Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club’s 2021–22 annual report identifies her as Erin Jayne Plummer (née Gard), a club member who joined to be alongside her competitive daughters. The club described her as an outstanding surf-sports competitor who represented Branch and State across many events.

The club report also noted that all three of her daughters were active in the club at the time, with two then active members. Those details describe the 2021–22 season, not their present membership.
Tributes from friends and colleagues
A friend’s tribute reproduced by PerthNow remembered Plummer as “the most incredible friend — always putting everyone else first” and “an amazing mother whose love for her girls was boundless.” PerthNow’s account did not name the friend.
Harris also paid tribute to Plummer’s athletic achievements and family life. As quoted by 7NEWS, she said Plummer “represented Australia in synchronised swimming and even surf life-saving,” and called her “a gold medal mum to her three young girls.”
Reports said Plummer left a husband and three daughters. The club’s memorial and the tributes describe a life in which family and sport were closely connected.

What was reported about her death?
Contemporary Australian reports said Plummer died suddenly in May 2022, aged 42, with the initial coverage describing her death as occurring over the preceding weekend. PerthNow reported on 23 May that the cause had not been publicly revealed; 7NEWS reported the same on 24 May.
In a 26 May follow-up, PerthNow attributed a suicide report to friends, citing the Daily Mail. That is an account of what friends reportedly told another outlet, not an official coroner’s finding established by these reports. The distinction matters: the public tributes and career reporting are separate from that later, attributed claim.
