Erick Sermon’s net worth is not established by reliable public financial records in the sources available. A celebrity-profile site puts it at $7 million, but gives no transparent calculation; that figure is an estimate, not a verified total. Sermon has also described substantial royalties tied to “Creepin’,” but those payments represent one reported income stream—not his overall wealth.

Is Erick Sermon’s net worth really $7 million?

Surprise Sports published a $7 million estimate on a page updated January 4, 2026. The page does not show how the figure was calculated or provide financial documentation to verify it. No reviewed source provides a public balance sheet, an independent valuation of Sermon’s music rights, or a calculation that accounts for assets and liabilities. The most accurate answer is therefore that his net worth is unknown; $7 million is one outlet’s unsupported estimate, not a confirmed figure.

What are the reported “Creepin’” royalties?

Sermon’s reported royalty claims concern a publishing share connected to “Creepin’,” not a complete account of his income or wealth. The song’s sampling lineage runs from EPMD’s 1988 track “You’re a Customer” to Mario Winans’ 2004 song “I Don’t Wanna Know,” and then to Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and 21 Savage’s “Creepin’.” Complex reports that Sermon said he held a 4% publishing interest and had already been earning royalties from the Winans song.

Report Reported amount and interval What the report establishes
Complex, December 10, 2025 $250,000 every three months, as Sermon reportedly described it An attributed claim about income tied to his claimed 4% publishing share; the period covered is unspecified.
Complex, February 9, 2024 The article body says Sermon first named $220,000, corrected it to around $240,000, and said “every four months.” Its headline calls the amount $240,000 quarterly. An earlier attributed account with an internal difference between the headline and body on the interval.

The two accounts give different amounts and timing. Neither establishes that the same amount recurs indefinitely, and the 2025 report does not state how long the described payments lasted. They should not be combined into an annual income figure or treated as a net-worth calculation.

How did Erick Sermon make his money?

Sermon’s career includes recording, production and songwriting work. Universal Music France describes him as an EPMD member, Def Squad founder, solo artist and producer, and identifies production work with artists including Busta Rhymes, Redman, Method Man and 50 Cent. Apple’s artist catalog lists albums including No Pressure and Dynamic Duos (Volume 1).

Music publishing can generate royalties when compositions are sampled or otherwise reused, which helps explain why older work may continue to earn money. But the presence of a reported royalty stream does not reveal the value of Sermon’s full catalog, his other income, expenses, taxes, liabilities or assets.

What does Sermon’s interview say about his career and earnings?

In a November 25, 2025 interview with The Hip Hop Museum, Sermon discussed his Dynamic Duos project and earlier work writing for Shaquille O’Neal. He recalled expecting a substantial fee because of O’Neal and Jive Records, and said “I’m not gonna lie, I just saw dollar signs.” He also recalled that “I’m Outstanding” went platinum and that the album sold one million records. Those remarks are his recollections in an interview, not audited financial evidence or an independently cited sales record.

The interview also offers a view of how he approaches collaboration: “I wanted to know why my colleagues weren’t making any music, so I made music for them.” These career details help explain the range of work behind Sermon’s profile, but they do not supply a verified estimate of his present-day wealth.
