2009: Ryan Sheckler
Us Weekly describes Roberts as briefly linked to professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler in 2009. “Linked” is the extent of the reporting; it does not establish a longer or more formal relationship.

Us Weekly reports that Roberts began seeing Dathan Kuppin, then a UCLA student, in 2009, and that they split in 2011 after nearly two years.

2012–March 2019: Evan Peters
Roberts and actor Evan Peters met while working on Adult World in 2012. According to Us Weekly, they became engaged in 2013, split for the first time in 2015, later reconciled, and ended their engagement in March 2019. Their relationship was on and off, so those dates describe the reported milestones rather than an uninterrupted partnership.
March 2019–January 2022: Garrett Hedlund

Summer 2022–July 2026: Cody John
Roberts and actor Cody John’s relationship became public in August 2022, after a yacht photo drew attention to them, according to Cosmopolitan and The Knot. In July 2024, Roberts spoke about watching The Iron Claw with her boyfriend. She announced their engagement on Instagram on July 16, 2024. Cosmopolitan reports that Roberts and John married on July 25, 2026, in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Roberts has explained why she avoids making her romantic life a running public conversation. In a 2019 Cosmopolitan cover story, quoted in the magazine’s 2026 timeline, she said: “I never want to talk about relationships I’m in or that are ending or have ended. It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience.”
Us Weekly also reproduced a 2019 comment from Roberts about social media: “Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you’re doing, and no one knows the real story.
