She named making coffee, going on walks, playing drums, watercolor painting, and reading cookbooks as ways she unwinds. These are her own reported habits, not a general prescription for managing screen time.
Chamberlain framed online life as a trade-off: “That’s why the relationship is so tough, because it is something that enhances our lives; it’s also something that is really damaging, so how do you manage that?” Her answer was: “Through balance.” She also said, “I’ve been working really hard this year to figure out how to deal with that, so that I can continue doing this job.”

Pinterest’s official Chamberlain Coffee case study describes the company as founded by Emma Chamberlain. For a 2025 collaboration, the partners launched a limited-edition Sea Salt Toffee blend inspired by Pinterest’s Fisherman Aesthetic trend.
The campaign included a Pinterest board created by Chamberlain, behind-the-scenes content, shoppable Pins, and limited-edition merchandise. It reached consumers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Europe, and included a limited-time café takeover in Los Angeles.

What Pinterest says the campaign achieved
Pinterest reports that campaign impressions were 190% above benchmark and opens were 132% above benchmark. It also says Gen Z daily active user engagement with Pin content was approximately twice Pinterest’s ecosystem benchmark, while ChamberlainCoffee.com traffic rose 200% on launch day, which Pinterest attributes to the collaboration and social amplification.
These are figures reported by Pinterest in its own case study; the page does not state the case study’s year, and the sources do not establish that the figures were independently audited. The benchmark comparisons matter: these are not claims that impressions, opens, or engagement rose by those amounts across the brand’s business overall.

What “coffee propaganda” does—and does not—mean here
The Elle interview and Pinterest case study do not establish that Chamberlain used the phrase “coffee propaganda” or argued for coffee propaganda. The available material instead connects her to coffee through her company and its Pinterest collaboration. Without another source, the phrase cannot responsibly be presented as a quote, a campaign slogan, or her stated position.
There is also a distinction between the documented 2025 Sea Salt Toffee collaboration and Chamberlain Coffee’s other products. An earlier transcript of Chamberlain discussing her business describes the company’s launch product as a steeped coffee bag, compared to a tea bag filled with coffee grounds, that could make a single cup or be used for cold brew. That historical account does not establish what the company currently sells.
