Where Season 5 takes Emily
Season 5 is not a move away from Paris. Series creator Darren Star described it as “a tale of two cities: Rome and Paris,” adding, “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris.” Venice is also part of the season, including a trip there. Netflix’s filming-locations feature offers more context on the European settings.
Emily’s work and relationship
Emily launches an Agence Grateau office in Rome and becomes involved with Marcello Muratori, an Italian fashion heir. Collins described Marcello as “a whole other adventure” for Emily, saying the relationship gives her the possibility of a better work-life balance. Star said the pair have “a real spark and a real connection and a real romantic connection.”

Season 6 will be the final season
