Eileen arrived in Perth on the evening of Saturday, 6 June 2015, having flown from London. At the airport, she said: “I’m feeling absolutely terrible, but I’m very relieved to be back in Perth.” Contemporaneous reports said she had returned to see her children.

Alan and Eileen had four children. They married in 1955 and divorced in 1992, according to ABC’s 2025 account of their family history. The arrival reports described the former couple as having remained close after their divorce. Their son John Bond characterized his parents as “great soul mates who never broke their connection”; that was his description of their relationship.
Alan Bond’s death and funeral
Alan Bond died in June 2015, aged 77, after complications from heart surgery. His funeral was held at St Patrick’s Basilica in Fremantle on 12 June. ABC reported that Eileen attended with family members.

What the reports establish about Eileen’s return
The contemporary accounts describe a return from London to Perth to be with her children after Alan’s death. They do not establish that Eileen relocated permanently to Perth or where she lived afterward.
