Edge (Adam Copeland) and Beth Phoenix’s relationship grew out of shared wrestling connections and became a family partnership that they have described publicly. WWE identifies them as husband and wife, and the company later featured them together in a mixed-tag match. The reported story of how they began dating comes from Edge’s comments in the WWE 24 documentary, as recounted by a 2020 secondary report.
How did Edge and Beth Phoenix meet?
According to a 2020 report by Wrestling Inc., Edge said in the WWE 24 documentary that he and Phoenix connected at an Edge Appreciation Night in Toronto after a SmackDown taping. He described shared training backgrounds and mutual wrestling acquaintances as part of their connection.
This account should be treated as a reported recollection, not a date independently confirmed here from the documentary itself. The article does not establish the event’s month or year.
When did Edge and Beth Phoenix start dating?
Wrestling Inc. reported that Edge said the two started dating after that Toronto event. The available account does not provide a verified month or year for when the relationship began, so a more precise dating timeline cannot be stated confidently.
