Yes. Eric Murphy and Jasmin Page Lawrence married in a small church ceremony, Eddie Murphy said on May 29, 2025. He said the ceremony took place about two weeks earlier, with only the couple and a preacher present, and that he did not attend. The exact wedding date has not been reported.
Did Eric Murphy and Jasmin Lawrence get married?
They did. Eddie Murphy confirmed the marriage during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, telling viewers of Martin Lawrence, “We’re in-laws.” The Associated Press later described Lawrence as Murphy’s in-law in its April 2026 report on Murphy’s AFI Life Achievement Award, referring to the couple’s 2025 marriage.

Murphy said the couple opted for a private church ceremony instead of the larger wedding plans others had been making. “Everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” he said, according to ABC News.
He described the ceremony this way: “They went off and they got married at the church. They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing.” Those details are Murphy’s account of the private event.
