How was the winner decided?
ABC’s advance announcement said semifinal scores and votes carried into the finale and combined with live finale viewer votes and judges’ scores to determine the winner. The finale was scheduled as a three-hour broadcast on Tuesday, November 26, 2024: 8–11 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, and 7–10 p.m. Central. ABC and Disney+ aired it live in local time zones, with next-day availability on Hulu at the time. Those platform details are historical; present-day episode availability is not established here.
What else happened during the finale?
ABC’s preview announced several additional performances: an opening number set to Madonna’s “Holiday”; a DWTS LIVE 2025 Tour pro performance to Troye Sivan’s “Rush”; Mark Ballas and Derek Hough dancing to “Libertango” by Tango Bardo; and Season 32 champions Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy dancing to Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.”

ABC News also reported that Stephen Nedoroscik’s freestyle featured his Olympic gymnastics teammates. Reginald VelJohnson danced with Emma Slater, and Brooks Nader with Gleb Savchenko and Jenn Tran with Sasha Farber returned to perform.
