Dwayne Johnson gave his pinky ring to ESPN host Molly Qerim during a January 23, 2024 appearance on First Take, after she told him she had been admiring it throughout the show. When Qerim checked whether he truly meant to give it away, Johnson said yes.
What happened on First Take?
As the segment ended, Qerim complimented Johnson’s pinky ring and said she had been staring at it during the show. Johnson removed it and handed it to her. Surprised, Qerim asked whether he was serious; he confirmed, “Absolutely, 100%. Yes.”
Qerim said she had planned to text her friend and stylist, Lisette Mora, about finding a similar vintage-style ring. Johnson told her, “It is vintage. It means a lot to me, but it means so much that you called it out.”
What kind of ring was it?
Entertainment reports identified the ring as a vintage David Yurman Empire Signet in sterling silver with black diamonds. The reports do not establish its exact production year, provenance, or appraised value.

What is known about the gift?
The exchange was reported as part of Johnson’s January 23, 2024 First Take appearance, with Qerim as the recipient. Accounts describe Johnson taking off the ring and giving it to her after she admired it. They do not independently confirm its later ownership. The reported account of the exchange and ring identification appeared in People-attributed coverage, and Entertainment Tonight also recounted the moment.
