Luke Maye: the oldest brother and UNC basketball player
Luke is the oldest of the four brothers and played for the UNC men’s basketball program. UNC’s 2017 national championship is a notable team achievement from his college career; it is a team accomplishment, not an individual title. The Patriots’ family profile and origin-story coverage provide the family and college context.
Cole Maye: baseball at Florida
Cole played baseball at the University of Florida as a pitcher. Florida won the 2017 College World Series during his college career; that result belongs to the team, and the reporting does not identify it as an individual award for Cole.
