Spoiler for episode two: Mr. Popo’s turban comes off, revealing horns. The scene offers a striking clue about his possible connection to demons, but it does not by itself confirm his ancestry.
What does DAIMA show under Mr. Popo’s hat?
In episode two, Gomah’s wish miniaturizes the characters, and Popo’s turban comes off to reveal horns. ComicBook.com’s October 19, 2024 report and Meristation’s October 21, 2024 report describe the reveal.
Do the horns confirm that Mr. Popo is a demon?
Not conclusively. DAIMA takes place in the Demon Realm, and the scene’s horns invite a demon-related interpretation. ComicBook.com framed Popo’s possible demon status as something that might have been confirmed; Meristation likewise interpreted the horns and pointed ears as evidence of a demon connection. Neither report establishes an official biography or definitive statement about Popo’s ancestry.
The official Dragon Ball announcement describes DAIMA’s Demon Realm setting and credits Akira Toriyama with the original work, story, and character design. It establishes the context for the reveal, not Popo’s lineage.
