In a June 20, 2024 Instagram video, Karen Derrico said she was “doing as good as can be” and that her children were “doing good” after news of her separation and divorce from Deon Derrico. She also said the family planned to keep the children busy over the summer. Those comments describe what Karen said then; they do not establish how she or the children are doing now.
What Karen Derrico said about herself and the children
In a video posted on Instagram on June 20, 2024, Karen gave a brief update following the divorce news. As quoted by E! News and Us Weekly, she said: “I am doing as good as can be. The children are doing good.”
That is Karen’s own description, not an independent assessment of the children’s well-being. The cited reports establish what she said in June 2024, not the family’s circumstances in 2026.
How she said the family planned to spend the summer
Karen said the immediate plan was to keep the children occupied during their school break: “It’s summertime, we definitely want to keep them all busy and occupied, and that’s the plan right now.” She also described considering self-care and speaking engagements, working out next steps for the oldest child, and preparing for the triplets’ school year. Those were plans she discussed at the time, not confirmed later outcomes. E! News and Us Weekly reported on the video.
