At Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025, Taylor Swift was booed by some fans when she appeared on the stadium video boards. Donald Trump shared videos contrasting that reaction with cheers for him and his daughter Ivanka, then wrote that Swift had been “BOOED out of the Stadium.” The phrase was his; reporting describes a booing moment, not Swift being forced to leave.
What happened when Taylor Swift appeared on the stadium screens?
During a first-quarter break at the Superdome in New Orleans, Swift appeared on the video boards alongside rapper Ice Spice. Some fans booed. The Associated Press reported that the crowd was pro-Philadelphia Eagles, while Swift is a Kansas City Chiefs supporter. The Eagles went on to beat the Chiefs 40–22.
The documented incident was a reaction from some fans to Swift’s appearance on the screens. It does not establish that she left the stadium because of the boos.
What videos did Trump share?
ABC News reported that Trump posted two videos without captions: one showing him and Ivanka drawing cheers, and another showing Swift being booed. The juxtaposition presented contrasting crowd reactions.

What did Trump write about Swift?
In a later Truth Social post on February 9, Trump wrote: “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” The American Presidency Project archives the post, and the Associated Press also reported the quotation.
“Booed out of the Stadium” was Trump’s wording, not a verified account that Swift was driven from the venue.

No. PolitiFact found that a viral post claiming Trump blamed the Chiefs’ loss on “DEI nonsense” was fabricated. That claim should not be confused with his documented posts about Swift.
