The visual follows Fike running outdoors while the songs play; the album listing gives the project a total duration of 14 minutes.
What is 14 minutes?
14 minutes is an eight-song Dominic Fike release presented first through a roughly 14-minute visual and then as a streaming album. Apple Music lists eight tracks and a total duration of 14 minutes, along with the rights line: Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, under exclusive license from Sandy Boys, LLC. Those figures are catalog metadata, not an independently measured runtime. Apple Music’s album listing provides the release details.
The video is not described in contemporary coverage as a live performance or as a set of separately introduced music videos. It uses footage of Fike running outdoors as the songs’ soundtrack. Reporting credits Jack Begert as the video’s creator and director, with Reed Bennett contributing to the concept. Yahoo Entertainment’s April 24, 2024 report, republished from Rolling Stone, covers the presentation and credits.
How the surprise release unfolded
April 23: the visual presentation
Fike gathered an audience at a West Hollywood warehouse on April 23, 2024, to show the visual project. Contemporary coverage described the film as approximately 14 minutes long. The gathering was a presentation of the audiovisual work, not evidence of a live musical performance.

Why did Fike release it this way?
At the release gathering, Fike said the songs were ones he could not stop listening to and did not want to keep to himself: “This is a collection of eight of those songs that I really can’t stop listening to and I can’t live without.” He also criticized the expectation that musicians should wait years between albums, saying he was tired of holding music back. These were his stated reasons for releasing the collection, rather than a general claim about how artists should schedule albums. Both remarks were reported by Yahoo Entertainment on April 24, 2024.
