Dolly Parton postponed six Las Vegas concerts planned for December 4–13, 2025, saying health challenges and doctor-recommended procedures left her without enough time to rehearse and prepare the show. The dates were moved to September 2026, but ABC News reported in May 2026 that the replacement residency was canceled. Parton did not disclose a specific diagnosis in her postponement announcement.
Why did Dolly Parton postpone the Las Vegas concerts?
In her September 28, 2025 announcement, Parton said she had been dealing with health challenges and that her doctors told her she needed a few procedures. She explained that she would not have enough time to rehearse and put together the show she wanted audiences to see. The Associated Press reported her statement on September 29, 2025: As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.
In Scripps News coverage of the Caesars Palace announcement, she added: I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see.

What happened to the concert dates?
The six performances of Dolly: Live in Las Vegas were scheduled at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from December 4 through December 13, 2025. The announcement postponed those dates and initially moved the run to September 2026. In May 2026, ABC News reported that the rescheduled residency had been canceled. The postponement and the later cancellation were separate developments; the September 2026 run is not an upcoming engagement.

What should ticket holders do?
The original postponement announcement said tickets would be valid for the replacement dates and that refunds would be available. That was the arrangement announced when the shows were postponed, not a confirmed remedy for every ticket after the later cancellation. Ticket holders should check the current cancellation and refund instructions from the seller that processed their purchase. The available reporting does not establish a universal refund outcome or timeline for individual tickets.
