How listeners accessed the song
Reports said visitors to the website could stream or download “Crack” after submitting contact information. The stated 24-hour window applied to that website offer; it does not establish that the same page or access method remains active today.
Why Doja Cat released it
Uproxx attributed two posts about the release to Doja Cat on X. She wrote, “it’s not the lead i’m just giving it to the people who asked for it,” and said the song had “no relation to the album whatsoever.” The outlet reported these statements on May 5, 2025; the original posts were not independently verified here.

How “Crack” relates to Scarlet
Uproxx reported that Doja Cat had previewed the song during an Instagram Live while working on Scarlet, but it did not make the album’s final cut. Her comment that “Crack” had no relation to the album distinguishes this release from a lead single or an announcement about the album.

The reporting establishes the original, temporary website offer but does not establish the song’s present-day official availability. It would be inaccurate to treat the 2025 access window as still open or to assume the track is now part of an official streaming catalog. A similarly titled Apple Music listing dated May 16, 2025, is credited to Doja Kittenz, not Doja Cat, and is not evidence of an official Doja Cat release: Apple Music’s Doja Kittenz artist listing.
