Yes—Ash’s Pikachu is shown eating and enjoying ketchup in the Pokémon anime episode “Showdown at Dark City” (EP042). The scene is a character moment in that episode, not evidence that every Pikachu across the franchise shares the same preference.
What happens in “Showdown at Dark City”?
Episode guides for “Showdown at Dark City” (EP042) and episode 42 describe Ash’s Pikachu eating ketchup at a restaurant. During the episode’s gym-conflict events, the ketchup bottle breaks, and Pikachu becomes upset. Its reaction gives the scene its comic suggestion that it is especially fond of the condiment.
Does every Pikachu like ketchup?
That scene establishes a preference for Ash’s Pikachu as portrayed in this anime episode. It does not establish a franchise-wide rule about Pikachu in every Pokémon story or continuity.
Is there a ketchup Pikachu plush?
A 2015 Crunchyroll News report described a Kagome Pokémon promotion that included ketchup-themed Pikachu plush toys. That was a historical promotional item; the report does not establish whether the plush is available now.
