Theatrical release is not the same as streaming
A theatrical date tells you when a film is scheduled to open in cinemas; it does not establish when it will be available at home. The official sources confirm Disney+ dates for the two marquee films: Disney+ announced that The Mandalorian and Grogu began streaming September 2, 2026, and Disney’s summer guide gives September 23, 2026, for Toy Story 5. The listed theater-to-streaming intervals are therefore 103 days and 96 days, respectively, based on those dates. They should not be treated as a general Disney release-window rule.
