Dirty Grandpa is a 2016 comedy directed by Dan Mazer, starring Robert De Niro as unruly grandfather Dick Kelly and Zac Efron as his uptight grandson, Jason. Its crude spring-break road-trip premise, U.S. R rating and separate Unrated edition are useful to know before choosing a version.
What is Dirty Grandpa about?
Jason Kelly is a lawyer preparing to marry when his grandfather Dick draws him into a trip to Daytona Beach during spring break. The journey brings the mismatched pair into parties and other unruly situations. The setup is a crude buddy-road comedy, not a documentary.

Is Dirty Grandpa rated R?
U.S. listings rate the theatrical film R. Apple TV gives crude sexual content, graphic nudity, language and drug use as reasons for the rating. Ratings and content advisories can differ by territory, so check the local listing if you are choosing the film for a particular audience.
Is there an Unrated version, and how long is the film?
Yes. Prime Video presents an Unrated alternate version and describes it as containing additional content. Runtime depends on the listing and edition: Apple TV lists 1 hour 42 minutes; a Prime Video listing gives 1 hour 37 minutes for one version and 1 hour 49 minutes for its Unrated version. These are platform-specific listings, not one universal runtime. Check the selected edition’s details before watching.

Is Dirty Grandpa available on DVD or Blu-ray?
Yes. Shochiku documents Japanese DVD and Blu-ray editions, including bonus materials such as a making-of, gag reel and interviews. That establishes the existence of physical editions, but not their current stock in any particular country or marketplace. Before buying, verify the edition, disc region compatibility and included features in the specific product listing.
Where can you watch Dirty Grandpa?
Digital storefront listings may offer rental or purchase options, but availability and price change by date and region. A platform listing does not establish that the film is currently included with a subscription. Check the storefront in your country and confirm whether the listing is for the theatrical or Unrated edition.
