Reports support two distinct facts: Suri Cruise used the name “Suri Noelle” publicly by her June 2024 high-school graduation, and 2026 news coverage said Pennsylvania voter-registration records listed her under that name in October 2024. The latter outlets described Noelle as her legal name, but the reporting does not establish when or where a legal change occurred—or that Suri changed her name to cut ties with her father.
What name did Suri use at graduation?
The Los Angeles Times reported that the program for Suri’s June 21, 2024, LaGuardia High School graduation listed her as “Suri Noelle,” not “Suri Cruise.” The paper also reported that she had used “Suri Noelle” earlier that year for a school production of Head Over Heels. These accounts establish public use of the name; on their own, they do not establish a legal name change. Los Angeles Times
Is Suri Noelle her legal name?
In July 2026, The Daily Beast reported that Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, voter-registration records listed her as Suri Noelle in October 2024. The article attributed to Page Six the report that Pennsylvania courts confirmed voters must register under their legal names. This is news reporting about public records, not an independently reviewed record or court order here. The Daily Beast
The Daily Beast said the exact timing of any legal change was unknown and that no name-change request was found in Allegheny County. Its suggestion that a New York proceeding may have taken place before college is an inference, not a verified filing location. EL PAÍS also reported the voter-record detail while attributing the record review to People and Page Six. EL PAÍS

Does the name change mean she wants to cut ties with Tom Cruise?
No reviewed report provides a statement from Suri explaining why she used “Suri Noelle.” Noelle is reported to be Katie Holmes’s middle name, so the choice is consistent with a connection to her mother, but it does not prove her motive. The name evidence also does not establish estrangement or a wish to end her relationship with her father. “Wants to cut all ties” is a headline interpretation, not a confirmed explanation from Suri. Los Angeles Times The Daily Beast
What has Tom Cruise said about their relationship?
In a 2013 deposition connected to his defamation lawsuit against a tabloid publisher, Tom Cruise disputed claims that he had abandoned Suri. The Los Angeles Times quoted him as saying: “The assertion that I ‘abandoned’ Suri after my divorce is patently false. I have in no way cut Suri out of my life — whether physically, emotionally, financially or otherwise.” This is Cruise’s account from 2013, not Suri’s perspective or proof of their current private relationship.
