Yes. Prince George sang along to “Sweet Caroline” from the royal box during Rod Stewart’s performance at the Platinum Party at the Palace on 4 June 2022. He joined the crowd for the chorus; he did not perform the song solo.
What happened during “Sweet Caroline”?
Rod Stewart performed the song at the concert outside Buckingham Palace. Prince George, then eight, was in the royal box with his family and joined the audience singalong, including the familiar “bom, bom, bom” response. ITV’s event report describes George singing along and quotes Stewart introducing the song: “This isn’t a fun one to sing.” Read ITV’s report.
