In January 2026, Guitar World reported Jack Osbourne’s later account that the three named charities each received about £1.5–2 million—roughly £6–7 million in total. That is a reported account, not an audited payout statement. The concert’s original announcement said profits would be divided equally among the charities but gave no total.
What did Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert raise for charity?
The best-supported account in the available reporting is Jack Osbourne’s later figure: about £1.5–2 million for each charity, or approximately £6–7 million altogether. Guitar World reported that account on January 14, 2026. It is not an independently audited figure in the sources cited here.

The often-repeated $190 million figure appeared in early coverage as an estimate, attributed by Guitar World to media reports and musical director Tom Morello. It should not be described as the concert’s confirmed donation, profit, ticket revenue, or gross revenue: the reporting does not establish which of those measures it represented. The later reported donation figure is different, and the two numbers are not a verified, like-for-like reconciliation.
Why is the $190 million claim disputed?
The official event announcement said profits would be split equally among three beneficiaries, but did not state a total. The later account attributed to Jack Osbourne describes what each charity received. Those are distinct claims: an early estimate that circulated in reports is not proof of the amount ultimately donated.
#1 Best Overall
No consolidated official or audited final payout statement is identified in the sources cited here. The careful answer is therefore that the $190 million figure was not confirmed as the final charitable donation, while Jack Osbourne later reportedly put the total donations at roughly £6–7 million.
Which charities benefited?
The event announcement named three equal beneficiaries:
Rank #2
- Cure Parkinson’s, which funds research into treatments intended to slow, stop, and reverse Parkinson’s.
- Birmingham Children’s Hospital, a specialist pediatric centre.
- Acorns Children’s Hospice, which provides specialist palliative care and support for families.
Under Jack Osbourne’s reported later account, each received approximately £1.5–2 million. The official announcement established the equal split of profits, not a specific amount for any charity.
What was Back to the Beginning?
Back to the Beginning took place at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5, 2025. Ozzy Osbourne played a short solo set, then joined original Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. The official announcement described it as Osbourne’s final performance and the band’s first performance together in 20 years. The Associated Press reported an attendance of about 40,000.

In its announcement, Osbourne said, “It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” and called Birmingham “the true home of metal.”
