No. One Direction did not reunite to perform at the 2025 BRIT Awards. Liam Payne was honoured with a video tribute during the ceremony on 1 March 2025; reports of a band reunion beforehand were speculation, not an official announcement.

The tribute was a moment of remembrance, not a One Direction performance. The distinction matters: a tribute to Payne did take place, but the band did not reunite onstage to deliver it.
Why did people expect a reunion?
Before the ceremony, headlines and online discussion speculated that Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik might come together to honour Payne. But the pre-show report from Just Jared explicitly noted that no reunion had been officially announced. That coverage records the rumor, not confirmation that the group would appear.

What did the official performer announcement say?
The BRIT Awards’ official performer announcement named the confirmed acts and did not list One Direction. The award organisers had also announced the event’s broadcast arrangements: it was due to air live on ITV1 and ITVX at 8:15pm GMT, with YouTube viewing for audiences outside the UK from 9pm GMT, as set out in the official event announcement.

- Before the show: A possible reunion was reported as speculation, not a confirmed booking.
- Official lineup: One Direction was absent from the announced performer list.
- At the ceremony: Jack Whitehall introduced a video tribute to Payne; the group did not perform a reunion.
Those three facts separate the rumor from the confirmed lineup and the tribute that viewers actually saw. RTÉ also reported that One Direction had won seven BRIT Awards before splitting; that figure is RTÉ’s reporting, rather than a figure independently verified here against an official BRIT Awards archive.
