Prevention also reported that McCarthy did not address her health or body during her December 6, 2025, Saturday Night Live appearance. Fan discussion about how someone looks is evidence of public speculation, not evidence of medication use or a measurable weight change.

When ABC News and ITV covered the exchange in May 2024, they described Ozempic and Mounjaro as FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes and Wegovy and Zepbound as FDA-approved for weight management for specified patient groups. ITV also said Ozempic was not licensed as a weight-loss drug in the UK or US at that time. Those descriptions are tied to reporting from 2024 and should not be treated as current prescribing guidance; drug indications and labeling depend on the product, jurisdiction, and date.
