Search results show a YouTube title about him ranting about the game, but the video’s official-channel provenance and his exact remarks are not confirmed. The game itself is released: Steam lists Chapter 5 as paid downloadable content for PC, while Nintendo lists a separate digital Switch edition.
What is confirmed about Markiplier’s reaction?
A YouTube search result titled “Markiplier Rants About Poppy Playtime Chapter 5” surfaced alongside a TechBloat page using the headline “Markiplier Posts Scathing Review Of Poppy Playtime Chapter 5.” Neither item could be verified as a primary record of a formal review: the TechBloat page was unavailable, and the video could not be opened to check its channel or content. The available evidence therefore does not establish that Markiplier published the video, called it a review, or used the word “scathing.”
Until the video or a reliable transcript can be checked, the headline should be treated as an unverified description rather than a confirmed statement about Markiplier’s opinion. Search-result wording and anecdotal viewer discussion are not substitutes for the video itself.
What is Poppy Playtime Chapter 5?

Nintendo’s US store separately lists a digital Nintendo Switch version, released May 27, 2026. It is listed for single-system play, with a 6.9 GB download and an ESRB rating of Blood, Violence. The Switch listing is a separate edition; Steam’s DLC and base-game requirement should not be assumed to describe Nintendo’s format.

MOB Entertainment’s Chapter 5 Patch 5 notes document stability work and fixes across the game’s levels. They also record adjustments involving Lily’s chase, controller vibration settings, a keypad helper widget, and other changes. The page title refers to Patch 5 (7/2/2026), while its displayed article date is 19.08.2026, so those labels do not support assigning one unambiguous publication date.

These are developer-reported changes, not an independent assessment of the chapter’s quality or evidence that any particular criticism is accurate. They do show that the game received documented post-release fixes and adjustments.

How to assess claims about the review
- For Markiplier’s exact opinion: look for the original video on a verified official channel or a trustworthy transcript, then distinguish what he says from how a headline characterizes it.
- For what the game contains: consult the Steam listing for the PC DLC and the Nintendo US listing for the Switch edition.
- For changes after release: consult MOB Entertainment’s patch notes, while treating them as developer documentation rather than a review.
