Louis Russell’s appearance hand-in-hand with Huda Mustafa at a July 2025 premiere signaled that his on-screen pairing with Sandy Gallagher might not last off camera—but it did not reveal who won Perfect Match season 3. Russell and Gallagher were ultimately eliminated from the grand-prize running in the finale.
What did Louis Russell reveal while Perfect Match was airing?
Russell and Mustafa sparked dating rumors in July 2025, then appeared together holding hands at the Los Angeles premiere of Weapons on July 31. Perfect Match season 3 began streaming the next day, August 1. Because Russell’s episodes with Gallagher were still arriving, the public appearance gave viewers a reason to doubt that their on-screen connection would become his lasting relationship off camera. It was an implied relationship spoiler, not an explicit announcement about the competition’s result. Us Weekly reported the timing and reaction.
Why did Rachel Recchia object to the timing?
Recchia, a fellow cast member, criticized Russell’s public appearance while the season was still airing. As quoted by Us Weekly on August 5, 2025, she said: “It’s literally airing — we have what, maybe two weeks. It feels, like, a little selfish,” and added, “It affects the whole cast.” Her objection was that viewers would watch Russell and Gallagher’s scenes knowing about Mustafa and wondering what was happening between them—not that Russell had disclosed the winner.
Hannah Burns separately told Swooon that cast members had nondisclosure agreements and described the reveal as disrespectful to Gallagher and another castmate’s storyline. That is Burns’s account in an interview, not independently verified contract language or evidence of a Netflix-wide policy.

Did Louis Russell and Sandy Gallagher stay together?
Russell and Gallagher matched on the show and remained together through the finale ceremony, but they did not win the grand prize. In the final compatibility challenge, they gave different answers and were eliminated from the running. Marie Claire’s season recap reports that they did not continue as a couple after filming.
Gallagher cited living in different countries, their age gap and different life priorities. Russell said pursuing someone in another country did not fit his lifestyle and goals. Those were their reported explanations for why their relationship did not continue; they do not explain Russell’s later breakup with Mustafa.

Are Louis Russell and Huda Mustafa still together?
No. In May 2026, Mustafa and Russell announced that they had mutually decided to part ways. Their joint statement said they were focusing on parenting and future endeavors, that they remained friends and that they wanted privacy. It did not give a specific reason for the breakup. TV Insider/Swooon reported their statement.
