The claim that Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Idina Menzel each signed a package worth more than $60 million for Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 came from a report based on unnamed sources—not a public Disney confirmation. Bell later said the reporting was misreported, without revealing her actual pay. Disney has confirmed the three actors are returning for Frozen 3, but has not confirmed the reported salary figures.
Where did the $60 million figure come from?
On Nov. 19, 2025, TheWrap reported that Bell, Gad and Menzel had signed packages valued at more than $60 million each for the two sequels. The story relied on unnamed sources, and TheWrap said Disney declined to comment.
The reported package was described as covering both films and combining upfront fees with back-end bonuses. TheWrap said the payments would be spread over several years, with bonuses tied to box-office performance. It also reported an upfront amount close to $20 million per actor and said each had received $15 million for Frozen 2. Those figures, too, were attributed to sources rather than confirmed contract documents or an on-record statement from Disney.
What did Kristen Bell say about the report?
In a March 3, 2026 report, Variety quoted Bell telling Entertainment Tonight at the Actor Awards: “I think there’s been a lot misreported about that ‘Frozen’ deal.” She added, “No, no, no, no, no that’s somebody making a lot of things up.”

Bell said the role pays well, but did not give her actual compensation. Her comments challenge the accuracy of the coverage; they do not establish a different salary or specify which reported terms were wrong. The sources cited here do not establish public comments from Gad or Menzel about their individual pay.
What is officially confirmed about Frozen 3 and Frozen 4?
| Film | What is confirmed | What remains unconfirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Frozen 3 | Disney’s D23 2026 recap lists Bell as Anna, Menzel as Elsa and Gad as Olaf, and gives a theatrical release date of Nov. 24, 2027. | The alleged pay packages and their terms are not confirmed by Disney. |
| Frozen 4 | Variety reported that the film was in development. | The reviewed sources do not establish a release date or an official schedule for the film, or confirm the alleged pay packages. |
The official confirmation of the Frozen 3 cast is separate from TheWrap’s report about compensation. Disney’s confirmation that the actors are returning does not validate the reported dollar amounts.

What can be said about the actors’ pay?
The most accurate description is that TheWrap reported a deal valued at more than $60 million per actor, based on unnamed sources, and Bell subsequently disputed the reporting as misreported without disclosing her salary. The exact compensation and contract terms have not been publicly established by the sources cited here.
TheWrap also cited Frozen 2’s worldwide box office at $1.4 billion in its 2025 story. That performance figure provides context for the franchise, but it does not independently verify any actor’s reported salary or bonus terms.
