What happened at the Nashville concert?
PerthNow reported that Urban stumbled backward during an October 2025 Nashville show after someone in the crowd shouted “Nicole,” and that he laughed it off. The report’s account of the moment and its explanation for it are separate claims: the stumble is what PerthNow says happened; the emotional interpretation is attributed to an unnamed source.

PerthNow attributed the phrases “extremely fragile” and “running on empty” to that source, cited through RadarOnline. The source also alleged, “It wasn’t just a fall. It was him cracking under the weight of everything.” These are anonymous-source characterizations, not verified descriptions of Urban’s condition or confirmed statements from him.
Is the divorce explanation confirmed?
No. The account does not establish that the stumble was caused by the divorce, nor does it establish Urban’s private emotional state. No on-record comment from Urban or Kidman, their representatives, or a health professional is offered as confirmation of the source’s interpretation.

The Washington Post’s reporter described Urban performing and leaving the stage without outward signs of distress at a different concert. That firsthand observation concerns another show; it neither confirms nor disproves what happened in Nashville.
What is confirmed about the divorce?
The court chronology is clearer than the private explanation. The Associated Press reported that Kidman filed for divorce on 30 September 2025 and that a Nashville judge granted it on 6 January 2026. The filing cited irreconcilable differences. AP said the settlements concerning assets and child custody were sufficient for the judge to grant the divorce.

In language reported by AP from the court filing, Judge Stephanie J. Williams wrote that “there exist such irreconcilable difference between the parties that would render continuation of the marriage impractical and impossible.” That is the court’s legal language, not a personal explanation by either spouse for why the marriage ended.
ABC News reported in September 2025 that the couple had separated after 19 years of marriage. It attributed the claim that Urban made the decision to leave to an unnamed source close to the couple and noted that representatives had not immediately responded to requests for comment. That claim was not an on-record statement from either spouse.

What did Kidman say later?
In an August 2026 report, The Guardian quoted Kidman reflecting in a Vogue interview: “OK, I didn’t expect this. I had a different view of what my life was going to be, but this is what it is now.” Her comments describe her later perspective and adapting to an unexpected future. They do not verify the cause of Urban’s reported stumble or the anonymous claims about his state of mind.
